eSAFETY

  • eSafety and copyrights are very important issues that everybody must be aware. In our project will try to keep this in mind.

Here are the rules that we defined:

    eSafety:

    • Members of the eTwinning project must be respectful and polite when dealing with their peers and interacting with one another.
    • Inform parents about the work in eTwinning.
    • You should have the permission from parents if you share pictures of students.
    • Avoid writing the whole name of the students, e.g. instead of Mary Black – Mary B. Or you may consult eTwinning partners about a common approach on this regard.
    • Agree with your project partners that all photos will stay only in the Twinspace and they won’t use them without your permission.
    • eTwinning takes students’ privacy and safety seriously. Avoid posting pictures of pupils on your eTwinning Live profile, TwinSpace Groups, etc. In case you do, make sure you have parents’ consent or that pupils are not recognisable.

    Copyrights:

Ensure that the content you upload to the platform does not infringe any copyright. Before sharing pictures, videos, documents or any other resources, please make sure you have the right to do so. The eTwinning platform cannot host videos - you will need to upload your video to YouTube, DailyMotion or Vimeo first and then paste the link in eTwinning. Do not forget to have a look at their copyright policies too.
