The main objective of the project is to allow pupils from different countries to interact and collaborate with each other using English as language of communication in real and meaningful contexts.
Pupils will have the opportunity to get to know new friends and have a pen pal. On the other hand, based on each school's curriculum, pupils will work on specific topics to develop the different language skills, collaborative work and other essential skills and values.
AIMS
- Use the English Language in real and meaningful contexts;
- Get to know friends from other countries;
- Have a pen pal;
- Develop language skills (writing, speaking, listening and reading);
- Develop social skills;
- Promote collaborative work and values (respect, friendship, responsibility, tolerance, etc.);
- Foster the awareness of a European identity;
- Share cultural experiences, customs and traditions;
- Promote digital literacy to access knowledge in context;
- Bolster student’s motivation in the teaching and learning process.
EXPECTED RESULTS
Students are expected to:
- communicate and interact with their pen pals/friends using the English language in real and meaningful contexts;
- collaborate with their pen pals/friends;
- know their peers better and see the differences and similarities in the way they live, learn and have fun;
- strengthen the awareness of a European identity;
- enhance their digital literacy.
PROJECT OUTCOMES
Exchange of letters/postcards; photo/video sharing; collaborative videos; games; collaborative products (posters, padlets and other materials), etc.
